Frequently asked questions

What is a stretch ceiling?

A stretch ceiling is a membrane tensioned over a structural profile and lit from behind with LED. It diffuses light evenly, with no visible light source, creating continuous luminous surfaces across ceilings, walls and cabinetry.

Can a stretch ceiling be built into cabinetry?

Yes. That is exactly the integration Maxime develops: the membrane is built into the unit or panel, with the profile concealed by the wood, creating a continuous plane of light with no visible fitting.

What is the minimum depth required?

Depth depends on the type of LED used and the lighting effect intended. Because this changes from project to project, Maxime defines the measurement at the technical stage, considering the cabinetry structure and the finish required.

Is maintenance complicated?

No. The membrane is removable, which gives access to the LED for maintenance without dismantling the cabinetry. Cleaning is done with a soft cloth and a neutral product.
